Ginger Shots is an interesting client. They are a start-up firm in California, currently being operated by their founder. He has developed a line of drinks based on ginger juice. These will be sold in six-packs, with half a dozen flavors being available. These flavors include apple, pomegranate, pineapple, kiwi, and cherry.
Production is centered on using a Model CP-4 screw press to extract juice from ginger, a tuber imported from China. In order to maximize juice yield, the ginger roots are first ground in a commercial-sized Waring Blender. The juice is filtered and pasteurized.
The same press will be used to extract juice from the flavoring fruits, apples, kiwi, pomegranate, cherry, etc.
The product will be kosher quality.
During this start-up phase production is taking place in a rented kitchen on Main Street, half a block from the ocean, in central Huntington Beach.
